Meet the Fockers! At least I'm sure that's what they call us...

Where to start? This is intended to be a place where family, friends and anyone else remotely interested can see what we've been up to. That is our branch of the family that lives Down Under.

With the best possible intentions, I aim to regularly post an image or two (and a few words) to give a glimpse of life here. I'll begin this pictorial journey by posting a few images from the past year or two - and an explanation of "who's who in the zoo"! Enjoy!

This first picture is one of "she who must be obeyed" (Alyson) and my very own teenager from hell (Stephanie). I should add that Steph has improved somewhat and can be quite tolerable at times now. I, on the other hand, am an eminently qualified "Grumpy Old Man". So they say, anyway.

Paul, Alex and I make up the rest of our family - unless you count pets, in which case Tillie has to get a mention at this point. I'll leave you to work out which photo contains Tillie...

Now that the introductions have been completed, let's go back to May 2005 and Alyson's and Stephanie's trip back to the UK. These photos provide a snapshot of their northern hemisphere sojourn...firstly, the UK pics.

And now, the pics from Alyson's side trip to Rome with her two (older) sisters Averil and Marian. Stephanie was abandoned to wander the UK alone whilst her mother and her two (did I mention that they are much older?) sisters splashed around in the Trevi Fountain and generally put a strain on Anglo-Italian relations... (Stephanie actually stayed with my younger sister in Essex)

Now to April 2006 and the first visit to these shores by two old school friends (ie childhood sweethearts and married for well over 30 years now). Gary and Barb have a son, Graeme, living in Sydney and were only with us for a few days but we did get to do a little sightseeing. The 12 Apostles
(just don't count them please), the site of the Melbourne F1 track, some Melbourne icons and the place that I stepped ashore from all those years ago when arriving in Australia all feature here.
